An accidental drug bust in Northwest Arkansas.

While authorities in Carroll County were investigating the death of a woman last week after she reportedly fell from a cliff known as Lover’s Leap near Eureka Springs, they discovered several marijuana plants growing in the area of County Road 905.

Authorities went to the home of 35-year-old Johnny Thad Snow to inquire about any relevant information Snow might have concerning the accidental death. Instead they allegedly found 90 marijuana plants on the property.

Snow was charged with manufacturing marijuana with intent to deliver, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of firearms. He was taken toCarrollCountyDetentionCenter.

In every Drug crime that is committed in the State of AR. the one thing I always see is, intent to deliver, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of firearms. One, who is he going to deliver to? If you have One joint, just enough for your personal use, law enforcement will every time add, "with intent to deliver" deliver to who? Then make L.E. prove it, that you were going to deliver!! Possession of firearms is not a crime unless you are a felon already. If you are making drugs you still are not a felon till you get caught, tried, convicted. So what does this trumped up charges have to do with personal Possession? Also with owning firearms?? Maybe if you were walking your child home from school, with a Playboy magazine in your shopping bag, I would arrest you for pornographic material in the presents of a minor, with intent to commit a sexual act with a child, lets not forget child abuse. Here you have been dealt a dead man's hand for only possessing a sex mag. yet I have piled these other charges on you because, "one simple Possession charge is not enough", no wonder people feel the way they do about our system of justice. I do not condone the illegal use of, or Possession of drugs, but I don't believe in charging more on a person than the crime committed.
