Branson Cafe to Auction off Everything
 Branson Cafe (Staff Photo) By: Michael Greeley The owners of the Branson Café will auction its equipment and interior fixtures on February 25th. John Roten is the owner of the 100 year old Branson relic. He says the store has been a part of his family for over a half century: The café’ closed on December 28th of last year, after the landlord failed to renew the lease. Roten says he is selling everything. He says he actively looking for a new location and hopes to open a new restaurant soon. As far as the café’s legacy, Roten says he intends to let it go and focus on a new era. The auction will be at the Branson Café starting at 10 a.m. Feb. 25.

John and Tami operated Branson Cafe with integrity and a high level of customer service. As for me and my family, we'll follow them to their new location and continue to enjoy "real" Ozark cooking and hospitality.

Your restaurant will be missed greatly. The food was always wonderful and affordable. The service was great and I loved seeing the same workers there year after year. This means they were treated great too & loved what they did. Thank you for all the years & will remain hopeful the new restaurant will be the same standards & quality.

Changes are always SAD when it involves our community losing one of it's historical business's.The Branson Cafe will be missed by all.It has always been a place to get some down home cooking,smiles, and conversation.There have been a lot of world problems solved along with some arguments around the round table not to mention meeting new people as we would share with friend or stranger as we ate there.We look forward to John and Tami finding a new place to carry on old and new traditions and serving with love and thoughtfulness as they have in the past.You have made Branson proud!!!!

So sad to see another Branson Treasure gone :( So much history and always top-notch food and service! Not to mention, all the problems of the world that were solved around the "round table" :) Thanks Roten Family, for the memories and wonderful food and service! You will be missed!!

I can't believe it's come to this. The Branson Cafe will be greatly missed. It's truly a shame. Best biscuts and gravy in town. Thanks for the memories. Looking forward to your new location.

So sad to hear about our favorite Restaurant! We just moved here 14 months ago but when we were visitors we always had to stop at Branson Cafe! The food was always good and so was the price. Everyone who worked there was so friendly and made you feel glad you came in and their Cinnamon rolls were to DIE for!!! It's a shame that this happened because it was a real part of the historic downtown and will be missed! Let it be known that when they open the new restaurant we will be among those who patronize it! All new and happy memories will be made! God Bless! |
