Coming to a German Television channel near you, 80-thousand Questions Around The World, with the next stop Branson.  Dennis Gastmann is a reporter and host for the German TV Network A-R-D.  He found Branson by accident while traveling coast to coast asking questions for his popular show:

Dennis Gastmann 970   (:19)    ….in Branson.

While in Branson, he interviewed Mayor Raeanne Presley, to get her take on where the heart of America is.  She said while it might seem bizarre, publicity like this is a positive:

Raeanne Presley Z973   (:16)    ….live entertainment.

The production crew for the German TV Show say they travel the world 4 to 5 months at a time, then go back toHamburgto edit the segments that air on a regular basis in documentary form.

Branson has played host to its share of media over the years, with reporters coming here on a regular basis, to tell the story of how this sleepy little town in the Midwest blossomed into what’s been described as the Live Music Show Capital of the World.

You can now add German Television Network A-R-D to that list. A reporter and his production crew are traveling the globe, taping segments for a documentary called 80-Thousand Questions Around the World.  Host Dennis Gastmann was asked by HometownDailyNews.com what surprised him most when he stopped in Branson:

Dennis Gastmann Z972   (:08)   …iceberg (laughs)

For the television show, Gastmann asked locals, including Mayor Raeanne Presley, and current Miss Missouri Sydney Friar where the heart of America is.  The Mayor told the show that it’s not a place, as much as it is the belief of the people here, and that’s what makes Branson something special.  It’s not known when the segment featuring Branson and the Midwest will air on the German Television Network.
