Russell says leaving unused medications in the home can be hazardous to children, result in adults taking the wrong prescription if a number of old prescriptions remain in the house.  Russell says the drop box will be available any time in the lobby of the sheriff’s office for disposal of unused medications.  If you’re unable to get to the sheriff’s office to dispose of those medications, a deputy can be sent to pick them up.  Call the Taney County Sheriff’s Office at 417-546-7250.
