A combination debate, and sit down talk with the Republican candidates running for United States Senate will be held Monday, January 30th at the school’s multi-purpose auditorium located on Buchanan Road, starting at 7 p.m.

Former State Treasurer Sarah Steelman and current 2nd District Congressman Todd Akin have agreed to participate.  A spokesman for the 3rd likely candidate in the Republican primary, St. Louis Businessman John Brunner has said he is unable to commit, telling HometownDailyNews.com there will be plenty of opportunities for a debate as the election draws closer.  Mr. Brunner has a standing invitation to attend, and the event will be held regardless of his attendance.

The Decision 2012 event will be moderated by Hometown Radio News Director Monte Schisler.  It will air on 100.1 FM KOMC, and will stream live on HometownDailyNews.com. ‘Conversation with the Candidates’ will be free and open to the public. Ticket details are still being worked out.
