Stone County residents can check their mailboxes for this year’s personal property forms.

Assessor Brad Hudson says the assessment forms list the personal property that’s subject to assessment for 2012.  All taxable personal property owned or held by a person or business as of January 1, 2012 must be reported by March 1st.

Failure to return the list on time could result in a penalty of up to 100-dollars, depending on the value of the property.
