A public celebration this Thursday at 6 p.m. at the Durand Center in Harrison will include remarks from an official with the U-S Department of Education.
An elementary school in Harrison celebrates its National Blue Ribbon School designation.
Forest Heights Elementary School is one of only 300 schools nationwide to be named a Blue Ribbon School for 2011 by the U-S Department of Education. Principal Ryan Oswalt says it’s a very elite award, recognizing the effort to insure that every child attains a high level of academic performance.
A public reception in honor of the achievement will be held Thursday at 6 p.m. at the Durand Center in Harrison.
