The sales tax amount received by Taney County from the state this month is up more than 3-and-a-half percent compared to January a year ago.

The county received more than 2-million, 212-thousand dollars this month, reflecting sales for most of November and part of December. 

The monthly report from Taney County Treasurer Helen Soutee also indicates that back in January of 2011, the amount received by the county from the state was down more than 12-percent from the January 2010 figure.
