On the other side of the aisle, the State’s Democratic Party is lashing out at John Brunner today, for skipping the first two scheduled debates for the Republican candidates, seeking to take on incumbent Democratic Senator Claire McCaskill in the November General Election.  Democratic Party Spokesperson Caitlin (Kate-lynn) Legacki (luh-gackee) tells HometownDailyNews.com that Brunner’s debate maneuvering reeks of political posturing, and Missourians deserve to hear directly from the man who wants to be Senator:

When asked why the state Democratic Party cares so much about a set of Republican debates, Legacki said while the party is focused on its incumbent candidate, its important to point out the issues of the others seeking the office.

The Missouri Democratic Party wasted little time jumping on the bandwagon of those criticizing John Brunner for not participating in all the previously announced debates, including one in Branson later this month.  In a news release over the weekend, democrats said Brunner’s debate maneuvering reeks of political posturing. Democratic Party Spokesperson Caitlin Legacki was asked by HometownDailyNews.com why her party cares so much about the activities on the other side of the aisle.

Legacki went on to say that John Brunner seems to think he can buy his way to the Senate without ever being accountable to voters, andMissouri’s deserve to hear directly from the man who wants to be Senator.

Gabby....so which candidate from the GOP clown car circus do you think would best lead the charge to taking the country back to where it was under Bush/Cheney? If you're a senior you should be afraid..very afraid if the Republicans gain control. Time to turn off Fox News.

He wants to be able to control his message through his ads. He knows that a republican can't get into a battle over who is more pro-God, anti-gay and pro-gun and win a general election. Most people in the Ozarks love that talk, but it doesn't sell well in the rest of the state.

Sarah Steelman is my choice for our Republican candidate. She has proven herself in the past and is ready for US representative. Check out her track record. She can do it! Go Sarah!

Looking forward to voting for Claire again. Brunner is just another rightwing empty suit pandering to phony values-voters, lobbyists and banks.
