A Kirbyville woman is scheduled for sentencing today in Greene County.
Fifty-seven year old Edna “Kay” Jackson was convicted by a Greene County jury in October of seven counts of defrauding consumers.
Jackson was found guilty of failing to deliver mobile homes, or clear titles to them, after collecting the purchase price from customers. She had originally been charged with a dozen counts.
Jackson was the owner of Dogwood Homes. She also brokered home sales, and was charged with failing to give money from the sales to either the seller or their bank.
Jackson faces up to 4 years in prison and a 5-thousand dollar fine for each of the seven counts.
