Missouri Governor Jay Nixon wasted little time late Tuesday afternoon sending letters to the state chairs of the two major political parties, asking them to each submit nominees to serve on the new bi-partisan commission that will get to work on setting state Senate boundaries, following the ruling from the Missouri Supreme Court.

In a news release, the Governor said he would select five names from each of the lists of 10 citizens submitted to his office.  Nixon urged the parties to expedite their selection of nominees so that the commission can complete its work before candidates start filing for office February 28th.
