Want to open a new business in Branson ? You’ll now find it easier to navigate through the rules and regulations, as well as the permitting process at City Hall.
During a recent National League of Cities Convention, City Administrator Dean Kruithof sat thru a session called “Open for Business” – a session that talked about helping new businesses through the red tape at City Hall. Thinking it was a good idea, Kruithof brought the concept back to Branson and turned it over to staff members, including Finance Director Jamie Rouch. She said a similar process was in place with the current Administrative Review Team, but realized the system could be tweaked:

It was suggested that Rouch and other staff compile a similar packet to post on the city’s website for individuals interested in investing in Branson, but who live out of town.

Branson City Hall is trying to help potential new business owners cut through the red tape required, before being able to open-up a store in town.
The concept is called Open for Business – and was part of a presentation at a recent National League of Cities Convention attended by members of the Board of Aldermen, and City Administrator Dean Kruithof.
Kruithof came back and handed the project over to city staff, including Finance Director Jamie Rouch, who says a new packet has been created, that outlines what every new potential business owner needs, prior to meeting with the City’s Administrative Review Team:

Rouch indicated that she and other staff will soon compile a similar packet to post on the city’s website for out-of-towners interested in opening up shop in Branson.
