A woman from Ozark will now stand trial in May in Stone County.

Forty year old Teresa Bunnell is charged with assault and armed criminal action in connection with an incident which occurred in May of 2009.  At that time, a man covered in blood appeared at the Stone County Law Enforcement Center in Galena.  Medical personnel initially believed he’d been shot, but later determined he had suffered a puncture wound to the eye.

Also charged in the case was Walter Baker, who was sentenced to 15 years in prison after pleading guilty to charges in the case.  Twenty-four year old Walker Erwin is scheduled for trial next month.
