A man and woman from Oak Grove are jailed in Carroll County, charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, exposing a child to a chemical substance or methamphetamine, and possession of a controlled substance.

Authorities say 25 year old Jeffery Gardner and 26 year old Leslye Allred were arrested when sheriff’s deputies arrived at their home and tried to serve a warrant on Allred on unrelated failure to pay charges.

Deputies say they found what was believed to be drug paraphernalia in the house, and observed a small infant in a nearby crib.   The child was turned over to the state.

Gardner and Allred are being held on 100-thousand dollars bond each.
