Bobby Ray Long, age 74, of Holiday Island, Arkansas, passed away on Sunday, September 28, 2014, at Brighton Ridge in Eureka Springs. Mr. Long, son of Richard and O.V. (Cox) was born on March 16, 1940, in Soper, Ok. On November 7, 1983, he was united in marriage to Martha Coy in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. Mr. Long joined the United States Army serving his country proudly from 1962-1968. He later joined the Oklahoma Army National Guard in 1977 and retired in 1995 with a rank of Sergeant First Class. Bobby enjoyed working for the Eureka Springs transit where he drove the trolley for several years. He also worked at the Great Passion Play in Eureka Springs. He was a civil war history buff and loved fishing and golfing. He attended the Holiday Island Baptist Church.
Audree “Bonnie” Jayne (Tranter) Keller, age 73, of Hollister, Missouri, passed away at home Monday, September 15, 2014, surrounded by her family. She was born November 17, 1940, in Chicago, Illinois, to parents Arnold Tranter, Sr., and Audrey (Zeller) Krause. Arrangements are under the direction of Cremations of the Ozarks.
Funeral services for Ronald L. Hanson age 73 of Reeds Spring, Missouri will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, September 30, 2014 at Keystone Baptist Church in Reeds Spring with Pastor Jim Cantrell officiating. Burial will be in Aurora, Colorado at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Greenlawn Funeral Home in Branson, Mo.
Barbara Jean (Halverson) Mehrer Henry, age 70 of Branson, Missouri, passed away Saturday, September 27, 2014. She was born September 11, 1944 in Centralia, Illinois. Barbara was the daughter of Kenneth Vernon and Betty Jean (Phelps) Haverson. Arrangements are under the direction of Cremations of the Ozarks.
Graveside services for Daniel N. Rawlings, 66, Branson will be Friday Oct. 3, 2014 at 11AM at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Springfield, Mo. Military honors will be by the Vietnam Veterans of American Chapter #913. Services are under the direction of Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home, Branson. Daniel passed away Sept. 27, 2014 at the Cox Medical Center Branson.
Jerry Ray Kerr, age 73, a beloved son, brother, uncle and hero, went to be with the Lord on September 26, 2014. Jerry was born on June 11, 1941, in Stella, Missouri, to the late Ovan and Grace (Pogue) Kerr.
Daniel Lee “Boone” Babson, 58, Branson passed away Friday, Sept. 26, 2014 at his home. Memorial services will be held at Cabin Creek Baptist Church, Lamar, Ark., on Wednesday, Oct. 1, 2014 at 11:00 AM. Pastor David Owens will officiate. The body has been cremated under the direction of Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home, Branson.
Dale L. Groom, age 88, of Cassville, Missouri, passed away in his home surrounded by his family on Friday, September 26, 2014. Mr. Groom, son of Orion and Ethel (Macinturf) Groom, was born on August 22, 1926, in Clyde, Missouri. After graduating high school he enlisted in the United States Navy serving in the South Pacific Theater during World War II. He later graduated from the University of Missouri with a bachelor's degree in agriculture. On November 7, 1980, he was united in marriage to Edna Alberta (Ottinger) Adams in Miami, Oklahoma. Mr. Groom loved the outdoors; he enjoyed farming, woodworking, gardening, and raised many different types of birds. His family loved him dearly and will miss him greatly.
Harold D. Perriman, age 67, of Purdy, Missouri, passed away on Monday, September 15, 2014, at Mercy Hospital in Cassville. Mr. Perriman, son of Harry and Charline (Doss) Perriman, was born on May 3, 1947, in Webb City, Missouri.
Charles Kevin Lay, Kimberling City, MO, son of Charles Wesley and Jenelle (Gipson) Lay, was born on June 19, 1960 in Hartshorne, Oklahoma, and departed this life on September 25, 2014 in his home, at the age of 54.
