Johnny Lee, II was born on June 4, 1990 in Monterey, California. He was the son of Johnny Lee and Deborah (Spohr) Lee. He moved to Branson from California. He graduated from Branson High School and earned as Associate’s Degree from OTC.
Virginia Lea Michel was born on May 24, 1926 and left this world to be with our Lord on April 20, 2014 at the age of 87 after a long illness. Virginia and her husband Lee, had one daughter, Karen Elaine Branstetter of Fort Smith, AR, three grandchildren, Mike Branstetter of Kansas City, MO., Therese Reinhard and husband Jed of Fort Smith, AR and Jim Branstetter and wife Kim also of Fort Smith. Virginia had eight great-grandchildren. Mike’s children Justin and Jennifer Branstetter, Therese’s children, Kayla, Graham and Joshua Reinhard, and Jim’s children, Connor and Alexander Branstetter and LaLeshia Johnson.
Meta Scott (Granny), age 91, of Thomas Hollow in Exeter, passed away peacefully in her home on Saturday, April 19, 2014. Meta was born on July 22, 1922, daughter of Robert and Telka (Koehler) Schmidt, in Creedmoor, Texas. She was united in marriage to Robert C. Scott in September 1945, in Uhland, Texas; he preceded her in death in 1983. They lived in Austin, Texas until May of 1980 when they moved to Shell Knob, to make their home. Meta was an avid gardener, known far and wide for her lake patio full of flowers every summer. She enjoyed playing bridge and reading, but her passion was music and dancing. Meta spent several years working in the Shell Knob Library and was a member of the Trinity Presbyterian Church in Shell Knob. She was a founding member of the SOLO's (Society Of Lively Oldsters) in Shell Knob. It was through SOLO's she met Karl Koos, who was a large part of her life for twenty years until his passing in 2005. In 2007 she moved to Thomas Hollow to be near her family. She was matriarch of our family and will be greatly missed.
Memorial services for Gloria Julian, 82, of Blue Eye were held Monday, April 21, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. in the Open Doors United Methodist Church of Blue Eye with Pastor Jack D. Smith officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home, Branson. Mrs. Julian passed away Saturday, April 19 at Tablerock Health Care in Kimberling City.
Johnie B. Jones passed away Friday, April 18 at the Forsyth Nursing & Rehab Facility, where he and Valentine, his wife of 77 years, spent the last several years of their lives being cared for by numerous nurses and staff. His daughter Patricia was by his side.
