This page is dedicated to the activities of the Humane Society of the Tri-Lakes. The shelter is located on Washboard Hollow Road, just off the downtown Reeds Spring area.  The phone number is 417-272-8113 and our website is www.tri-lakeshumanesoc.org 

This shelter has a big job every day because the Humane Society operates as a "no kill" shelter, meaning that no animal is euthanized due to space or time limitations.

We are now taking our animals to the SAAFhouse, a spay/neuter clinic, in Springfield twice a month and along with our animals we can take Stone County residences animals, too. The cost for a cat is $50 for the spay/neuter and $10 for the rabies shot, a dog cost is $60 for the s/n and $10 for the rabies. You can drop off the animal at the shelter at 6:30 a.m. the day of transport and pick up at 6:30 that evening.  Please call our office at 417-272-8113 and be put on the transport list. Our July date for dogs is July 13 and our cat date is July 27.

We still need:  dog food, cat food, puppy food, kitten food, dog & cat treats, chew toys, rawhides, dog & cat toys, cat litter, litter boxes, cat beds, collars, leashes, ear wash, cotton balls, Q-tips, non-tip water bowls, dog shampoo, hand sanitizer, laundry soap, dish soap, hand soap, dryer sheets, bleach, trash bags (tall kitchen & heavy duty), old towels, paper towels, spray bottles, brooms, mops, mop heads.

We'd also love to have:  4', 6' and 8' plastic tables, 6-foot tall chain link fencing to create an outdoor run for the animals and stainless steel cages.  We'd also make good use of your CASH donations to assist in spay & neuter programs and to help with heartworm testing through "Nebo's Fund" (see below).

Your donations have been (and will be) distributed to the Humane Society of the Tri-Lakes in Reeds Spring, the new Shepherd of the Hills Humane Society in Branson and the Taney County Animal Shelter south of Hollister.

 The Humane Society announces "Nebo's Fund", seeking donations to begin the practice of testing for heartworms in dogs and feline leukemia in cats prior to adoption. The fund will also make it possible to treat dogs with heartworm preventative medications.

The Society also seeks ongoing donations to the "Spay and Neuter" fund, helping to control the pet population in Stone County.

Turkey Creek Farm and Home Supply in Hollister will donate $2.20 from the sale of every bag of "Pro Pack" dog or cat food to the Taney County Animal Shelter and the Humane Society of the Tri-Lakes in Reeds Spring.
