Harlen Earl Brown, son of Coy and Rhoda (Saltkill) Brown was born August 4, 1940 in Elsey, Missouri and departed this life September 1, 2013 in his home near Blue Eye, Missouri at the age of 73.
Harlen was united in marriage to Louetta Standlee on October 3, 1959. He was a lifelong resident of the area and worked for Stone County Road and Bridge.
Survivors include his wife, Louetta of Blue Eye; 2 sons, Darrell Brown and his wife, Sissy of Harrison, AR and Dewayne Brown and his wife, Barbara of Lampe; 2 daughters, Sheena Morris and her husband, Rusty of Nixa and Sheila Brown and her significant other, Kelly Quigg of Springfield; 2 brothers, Buster Brown of Cape Fair and Eddie Brown of Elsey; 2 sisters, Phyllis Foster of Elsey and Alice Coleman of Knob Noster; 5 grandchildren, Elizabeth Thompson and her husband, Justin, Guy Brown, Tasheena Morris, Matt Brown and Audrey Brown; 2 great grandchildren, Bailey and Taylor Thompson and a host of other relative and friends.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 4, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. in Blue Eye Middle School with Wayne Writer and Larry Montgomery officiating. Burial will be in Blue Eye Cemetery under the direction of Stumpff Funeral Home-South, Kimberling City, MO.
A visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 3, 2013 in the funeral home.
